Kayla S. Holtzclaw
Senior Paralegal & Office Manager – Probate, Personal Injury, Family Law & Civil Litigation
Kayla S. Holtzclaw serves as the firm’s Senior Paralegal and Office Manager, a dual role that reflects her deep commitment to both client advocacy and firm operations. Since joining the legal field in 2004 – and assisting in the founding of Morris Law in 2010 – Kayla has become the organizational backbone of the firm, known for her high standards, compassionate leadership, and unwavering pursuit of justice.
As Senior Paralegal, Kayla fully manages the firm’s probate division while overseeing all personal injury, family law, and litigation matters. She plays a guiding role in the productivity of the entire support team, mentoring staff and ensuring cases move forward with precision and integrity. In her role as Office Manager, she handles the firm’s bookkeeping, personnel matters, and client satisfaction efforts, helping to create a culture of excellence and care.
Kayla’s legal experience spans both plaintiff and defense work in state and federal courts, giving her a comprehensive perspective on advocacy and case strategy. Her leadership extends beyond the firm: she is a member of NALA and has served on the Town of Six Mile Planning Commission since 2016, having been elected Chairperson in 2017. In 2017, she was honored as the Town of Six Mile’s Citizen of the Year.
Deeply rooted in public service, Kayla has led and supported numerous civic initiatives, including serving on various community outreach committees and as a dedicated supporter of Mental Health America of Greenville County, where she has helped raise over $150,000 through a yearly golf tournament organized by the firm.
For Kayla, law is not merely a profession but a calling. She views her work as a means to stand up for the voiceless, to bring light into dark moments, and to make justice feel human again. Her servant leadership style ensures clients feel seen, heard, and protected – not just legally, but personally.
Kayla grew up in Six Mile, South Carolina, where she was raised by her grandparents – whom she credits with instilling the compassion, work ethic, and moral clarity that guide her to this day. She now lives in Six Mile with her husband Brad, their son Connor, and her youngest sister, Elisha. Together they share a home with four beloved dogs – Charlie, Carli, Diesel, and Sadi. When she’s not at the office, you can find Kayla at home with her family, crafting, event planning, or traveling for her sister’s clogging competitions.
“In a field shaped by deadlines, details, and grief, I strive to lead with dignity and steady hands – even when the path is difficult.”
On a Personal Note
Kayla was raised in Six Mile, right here in upstate South Carolina, where she still resides today. She is happily married to Brad Holtzclaw of Liberty. When Kayla is not in the office assisting clients as a litigation paralegal and office manager, she enjoys hanging out with her two dogs, Carli and Charlie, and spending time with her family, her friends and her Papa, who just happens to be her next-door neighbor!
